Pork stew with dried prunes
For the quick lunch or in case you don’t want to spend a lot of time near the stove, this pork stew if just for you. While it’s stewing, you can take your time and prepare salads or some side dish. No matter how suspiciously we looked into dried fruit and meat combination, here it suits perfectly. This time as a side dish we had brown rice, so do not be surprised that they look like dirty, but after all, healthier 🙂

Next to the pork medallions I served some healthy salads which I saw yesterday in one of my magazines. It was simple and almost everything was already in my refrigerator. We enjoyed them a lot, even my kids ate them (with some motivation – some candies in front of them, which were kids if they eat all salads). Me and my hubby agreed that these salads would be grate even without meat, because roasted sunflower seeds were so good in these salads. So we’ll be making them soon for sure again.

This stew is very simple and cassual. Here pitas are as turbo feature 🙂 But they are not necessary. Just we love them and time after time I bake them. Next time we will make some yoghurt sauce with seasoning. Then the dish would be perfect. And this time we thought about the sauce only in the end.

This stew doesn’t require much of your time, it just needs time to braise. I think freshly baked buns would be perfect here, but I had no time for them, so we ate with white bread. Original recipe calls for a lot more caraway, but I adjusted the amount for my family taste. Also be careful with the salt if using stock or you can end up with too salty stew (as I do sometimes 🙂 ).

This is my family favourite. Don’t know why – it looks so simple, but even my kids can’t stop eating till the plates are empty. You can buy pitas and just warm them, your dinner will be very quick, but I like homemade pitas. I’ve tried a few recipes, but this one I liked most, because all pitas were perfectly baked from the first time.

This dish was prepared very long time ago. I even thought to delete photos because I couldn’t find from which book I chose it. But accidentally this week I found it, so in hurry to put it in here. In spite I prepared this dish long time ago, I still remember that it is quick and very easy. So suits for quick dinner perfectly.

It’s pork braised in home made tomato sauce. I prepared this already two times. The first time I cut pork in thicker chunks, the second – in thinner. My hubby said that the second time was better. By the way, be careful with seasoning – when tomato liquid evaporates, the taste becomes stronger.

Very simple in preparation, but very loved in our family.

We don’t eat smoked bacon with onions and bread often, just sometimes 🙂 But after visiting family in farm we got a big cut of smoked bacon. So I baked buns with bacon. I just love them, but my hubby don’t. Anyway, I baked and froze a lot of buns, so now I have snack or breakfast for a long time:)
