One more healthy recipe that I found in books about healthy living. It’s without diary products – that was one good point for me. Another thing – it’s with flaxseed. I’m trying to use them more in our daily family diet. So I almost ran to the kitchen and mixed it. I really recommend to let soak flaxseed meal in water for a few minutes, or your shake will be with hard small parts. But if you will be patient – shake will be very thick and creamy.
Chocolate banana shake
Time needed:
Yields: 1 big serving
Calories: 252 kcal / 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 cup = 237 ml
- 1 big or 2 small bananas
- 2 tbsps. flaxseed meal
- 1-2 tbsps. cocoa powder (we like to use only 1 tbsp.)
- 1 tbsp. syrup, sugar or other sweetener, or 1-2 pitted dates
- 1 cup water
Directions:
- Pour water over flaxseed meal and wait for a few minutes.
- Then add all other ingredients and mix with blender.
- You can drink right away or put in a fridge. It will keep there for two days. Enjoy!
