Autumn is coming very fast, so in the morning I started to search for cozy warming food. These yeasted pancakes are one of that kind of food. These pancakes were my second contact with yeasts, maybe that’s why they associates with cozy food.

Yeasted pancakes

Time needed:
Yields: 4 servings
Calories: 366 kcal / serving

Ingredients:

  • 375 ml flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 10 g fresh yeast (or 3,5 g dried active yeast)
  • 2 1/2 tbsps. sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 4 tbsps. butter, melted

Directions:

  • Sift flour into the bowl.
  • Warm a little bit milk and mix in egg, sugar, salt and yeasts.
  • Then pour flour and mix well.
  • At the end mix in melted butter.
  • Cover bowl and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours (I usually put bowl in the oven, turned on the low as possible heat, ~40°C). Also you can mix the dough in the evening, and put it to rise slowly in the fridge – in the morning you will prepare quick breakfast with the ease.
  • Don’t mix rised dough, just scoop with the spoon and bake in the pan with the very hot oil.
  • Have delicious autumn breakfast!

Kalėdiniai meduoliai

Christmas gingerbreads

Yeah, I know… Christmas was last year. But I want to remember this recipe for the future. It’s exclusive because one of the ingredients is sour cream. I didn’t decorate them, because these cookies were for my kids to eat before sleep. And from other side, why I need to decorate them? These cookies are delicious all by them self.

Lietiniai su brokoliais ir sūriu

Crepes stuffed with broccoli and cheese

I’m very excited when the recipe which I chose to prepare is admitted 110 percents. I wanted to make these crepes all week long, but all week I had no time to spend in the kitchen. And only this weekend the time has come 🙂 I’m very glad that I made only half portion because if there were more than four crepes I couldn’t stop eating. The filling is so light, with the gentle taste of broccoli and very nice taste of cheese. My hubby said he wasn’t hungry but ate one crepe and was very excited 🙂 The next time I will not make our usual crepes with cheese filling, but give a little bit more time and make these crepes.

Pyragas su cukinija

Cake with zucchini

Very delicious cake and zucchini just gives a lot of moistness. I baked it five times this summer and every day it disappeared very quickly. At last I left some cake for photography and next day when I had a little bit free time I made some photos. By the way, the cake had a lot of moistness even after a few days.

Vyšnių tortas

Cherry cake

Before baking this case, I couldn’t decide – it’s a cake or a pie. But when I baked it no questions were left – it’s really a cake and the good one. Crispy top, tender egg while layer and sour cherries makes very good combination. But if you are afraid of sour cherries, you can use preserved cherries. The next time egg white layer I will make smaller or will use bigger cake form (now I used 24cm). I know, the photos are horrible, but I had to do some photos in a rush, because I try to bake less sweets and the next time this cake will be baked after long time.
