Granola with honey

Author: Aušra

Date:

Granola that smells honey, but very crunchy and addictive like sunflowers. Every time I prepare it, half of it I eat alone – without milk, just like crunchy cookies. Even my hubby loved it, just honey is not recommended for him, so next time I will prepare it with golden syrup instead of honey. And I like this granola without any mix-ins!

Sodos duona

Soda bread

Somehow I forget to set my breadmaker to bake the bread or remember only very late in the evening. If there was no bread the next day my hubby would be starving 🙂 So I had to do something. And have to say that hubby very liked the bread with cheese.

Norvegiški avižiniai krekeriai pagal Forellę

Norvegian oat crackers

Crunchy crackers with just a little bit sweetness. My kids liked them. Next time I will try to make them without sugar but with a little bit more salt. I think it will be perfect with soma dips.

Avižiniai sausainiai su šokoladu ir pūstais ryžiais

Oat cookies with chocolate and puffed rice

After a long term there comes the cookies which my daughter liked very very much. Other cookies for her a too dry, she likes only the ones with dried friuts or nuts, or seeds. My son is a “white flour boy”, he can eat all cookies and these cookies were not different 🙂 . Puffed rice gives these crunchy cookies some softness. Chocolate like always gives for the cookies some charminess and while cookies are warm it is still melted and that’s the way my daughter likes 🙂

Reindžerio sausainiai

Ranger cookies

A few days ago I thought that I baked cookies very long time ago. And my mother mentioned that she liked the cookies that baked with chocolate. And I wanted oat cookies. So when I saw this recipe I decided to make them 🙂 Because my hubby don’t want to eat sweets, almost all cookies went to my work. And I have to say that I had no cookies to take home 🙂

Avižinių dribsnių košė su bananais ir riešutais

Oatmeal with banana and nuts

This morning was cloudy so it was a good time to cook this oatmeal. My kids don”t like simple oatmeal (or I just think that I still didn”t learn to cook it tasty), so I decided to make a little bit sweet but still healty version. Banana gives mild sweetness and nuts adds some crunchy texture. In the original recipe walnuts are used, but we don”t like them so I changed them to hazelnuts. At the end my little one asked next time not to add nuts at all. So decide by yourself to use or not to use nuts in your oatmeal.
