Mexican minced meat and bean chilli. Can be prepared very quickly. We were afraid that beans will blanket out other ingredients, but we were wrong and I am glad about that. We wanted something hot, and we got it 🙂
Chili con carne
Time needed:
Yields: 4 servings
Calories: 489 kcal / serving
Ingredients:
- 500 g meat, minced
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsps. oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 1 can (400 g) chopped tomatoes
- 1-1,5 tbsps. dried chilli pepper or 1-2 hot chilli peppers
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 cans (400 g each) white beans in tomato sauce
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- salt
Directions:
- Heat the pan with oil and braise onions with minced meat (if you use fresh chilli peppers, braise them chopped too).
- Pour tomatoes, seasonings and braise a few minutes.
- The mix in beans, cut bell peppers, salt to taste and braise 10 minutes more.
- Serve with rice or French bread.
