This cake is not very sweet, so if you like sweeter add 1 cup of sugar. That I did when baked second time. Because of the bigger sugar amount batter was more runny so I skipped sour cream. The cake came out very good and everyone agreed that this time it was better. So make your decisions and try this really simple cake by yourself.
Simple oatmeal cake
Time needed:
Yields: 8 servings
Calories: 294 kcal / 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 cup = 237 ml
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup sour cream
Directions:
- In a bowl mix oatmeal, semolina and pour over them milk. Let rest for a while.
- After a few minutes add sugar, sour cream mixed with baking soda and flour.
- Mix everything and let rest a little bit again.
- Coat baking form with butter and pour batter in it. Bake in a preheated oven about 40-50 minutes, while cake will brown nicely.
