This spread I found accidentally. But the simplicity was intriguing and I gave a try. Even my hubby, who doesn’t like cocoa, agreed that it’s very good. So almost all last week at school my girl ate sandwiches with this cream and peanut butter. And today I had to prepare this spread again, because it was very good with a freshly baked bread for me too 🙂
Chocolate spread
Time needed:
Yields: 1 jar
Calories: 1021 kcal / all
Ingredients:
- 250 ml milk
- 3 tbsps. sugar
- 3 tbsps. flour
- 3 tbsps. cocoa powder
- 70-80 g butter
- 25 g dark chocolate
Directions:
- In a pot pour milk, add sugar, flour and cocoa powder. Mix well. Then put pot on a medium heat and warm. When mixture will be warm it will start to thicken. Mix all the time. Then take mixture out of heat.
- While spread is still warm, add chopped chocolate and mix, while chocolate will dissolve. Then add butter and mix well again.
- Now let it cool and put in a fridge. Or you can try it while it’s still warm.
